Rookery Manor wedding photography

Here are a few of my favourite photos from Aoife and Rich’s amazing wedding at Rookery Manor. It was great to be part of their big day and to see so many familiar faces as I had the pleasure to photograph some of Aoife’s friends’ weddings. As you can see the weather was gorgeous an the guests had great fun.  I look forward to photographing Aoife’s brother’s wedding in August.

PS. Make sure you scroll down to the bottom of the post for Aoife’s advice about planning your wedding!

The 16th century Rookery Manor is the South West’s award-winning, 4-star boutique hotel and spa near Bristol.

What advice would you give to brides reading this who are planning their wedding?

“I would advise brides to have as much input as they can to their wedding preparations, we worked together to put many personal touches to our day, which did not cost a lot but when we look back at the pictures and all our guests comments, it was all worth it. The final few weeks leading up to the wedding can become stressful even if you an organised person, the anxiety will catch up on you. I would advise brides to remain calm, make sure you have a few days off work before the wedding to wind down, have a beauty treatment, get your nails done, book in your tan, and enjoy time with your friends and family. The day , when it arrives, just goes to fast, you need to cherish every second, and take it all in. I would also advise on the wedding day to take at least 5/10 minutes with your new husband just to catch up on the day and make sure you both are OK, as you will have realised you do not actually get to spend much time together or chat to each other much through the day. After all it is your day!”

Berkeley castle wedding photography

I met with Evelyn & Nick at stunning Berkeley Castle to photograph their engagement session. Berkeley Castle is a fairy tale castle and one of the most remarkable buildings in the country and has been lived in by the same family for over 900 years!

As well as receptions the venue is also licensed to hold Civil Weddings and Civil Partnerships in six of the public rooms within the Castle for 30-150 guests.

I’m very much looking forward to photograph Evelyn & Nick’s wedding at the Berkeley Castle in May.

Priston Mill wedding photography

Kate and Andy who got married at Priston Mill left their review on Freeindex website:

“Our wedding took place at Priston Mill in October 2011. The photography was of high quality and we have some fantastic pictures. Martin and Bryan had a lovely manner and made everyone feel very relaxed therefore the shots were very natural. Martin is very open to ideas and is very creative which meant we had some very fun shots on the adventure playground!! Will definately be using PhotoDabek in the future”
